FROM A TO SEX

Christian puritanism has too often prevented the conversation on sexuality from happening. We want to fight this today.

Sexuality is beautiful when it is lived according to God’s standards.

How can you, as Christians, talk about sexuality so naturally? Quite simply because God created sexuality! He created men and women as sexual beings and said that it was good!

  • Is it ok for Christians to talk about sexuality?

  • Is it suitable to do so in the church?

  • Have you a thousand questions that you do not dare to ask?

  • God and sex? What is the point since it is only rules and forbidden love?

  • Why talk about sex since it is only for reproduction?

  • I would like to know...

From A to Sex: A broader subject than it seems!

From A to Sex: A broader subject

than it seems!

We want to answer some of those all-too-often-asked questions. We believe that sexuality was created by God. We do not want couples or families to learn what they need to know about sexuality from outside. We believe this is a beautiful thing that we must acquire and dare to discuss within the church.

The number one theme is really to reposition sexuality in God’s plan. To do this, we may have to unlearn things we think are bad or good. We must stop calling ‘bad’ something that God created ‘good.’

Once, a journalist asked me: “How can you, as a Christian, talk about sexuality so naturally?” I simply replied: "But you know, sexuality is God’s creation! He created man and woman as sexual beings, and He said it was good."

The transmission of life is not our subject in these chapters. We focus on the other purpose of sexuality, for there are several.

A Conversation with Us!

We would like to invite you into our home for a little chat with the Dufours so that the theme of sexuality can return to the plan that God had prepared!

We have raised our five sons, speaking with them in a very natural way about sexuality. You can come to our house in the middle of a dinner or lunch and find us discussing this topic. The boys ask us questions, and so on…

We want to present God's standards, normalize, and look at this gift that God has given us through His eyes.

Desire: mind, soul, and body

We do not have a body, a mind, and a soul, but we ARE a body, a mind, and a soul. It is very important to understand this because the physical, sexual desire is not just rooted in the body. It is rooted in the soul, the mind, and the body, all three together. It is what makes us whole.

We will discover the four parts of desire that originate in the fact that we are soul, body, and mind. Sometimes, the roots of a sexual problem are linked to:

  • a feeling of abandonment - hence an issue linked to the soul level

  • abuse during childhood - a physical problem

  • a failure to become one with your spouse - also a soul-level problem

  • a failure to become one with God, to know God, to understand the depths of God’s love for us -  an issue with spiritual deficiencies.
